Analyse and determine information needs and business requirements in order to develop system specifications and functional designs which will lead to the development of business solutions software

• Write functional designs which meet business requirements and specifications
• Report to the Product Manager any suggestions for future product direction and enhancements
• Working closely with the Business Development Manager in the sales cycle to perform in depth Demonstrations and initial gap during the sales phase
• Perform a detailed gap analysis and write system requirements
• Create the requirements conformance matrix
• Involved in configuration with the QAD
• Assist client in system benefit analysis after post implementation and ensure the benefits are realised by the client and support team
• To ensure that the clients requirements as captured by the detailed gap analysis are all converted into the functional design document and that this document acts as the foundation from which the technical designs can be derived.
• Review and enhance internal client business processes and ensure that these processes meet industry practice.
• Adherence to company’s Quality Management System

Knowledge/Skills

• Tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in the IT industry or previous experience as a Business Analyst with a Client Administration Company.

Experience in the following:

• Writing a gap analysis
• Writing business specifications
• A sound knowledge of the product as it relates to the clients requirements.
• Business process re-engineering
