To provide support to both end user and third party users of Pensions administration systems. • Supporting various system platforms. This will include some Database Administration duties, and general support issues relating to calculation enhancement and error handling. • Timely and accurate completion of work allocated. • Recording full details of work required, amendments made and communication with clients on the support database. • Testing calculation and bespoke program amendments. • Dealing with telephone and e-mail enquiries. • Maintaining client files and backups. • Upgrading client’s systems • Ensuring that clients and Team Manager are aware of workload, priorities and timescales. • Undertaking site visits, ensuring satisfactory completion of the work required. • Contributing to the on-going development of the system(s), ensuring enhancement requirements/suggestions are notified to Team Manager. • Identifying clients' needs for user training and advising the Team Manager accordingly. • Attendance at and participation in team, departmental and Company meetings • Establishing good working relationships with colleagues. • Establishing good and professional relationships with clients.
Essential skills required: Good verbal and written skills Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Networking Good customer relationship skills Ability to work under pressure with changing work priorities Knowledge of pensions legislation Desired skills: Pensions administration experience (both Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit) Familiarity with pensions administration software Problem solving skills and ability to think laterally Knowledge of coding with Visual Basic for Applications
