Our client is seeking to expand their actuarial team and are seeking to recruit trainee pensions actuaries to be based in Bristol or Reading.
This role will be suitable for part qualified pensions actuaries. 

In addition to strong technical skills, individuals are to have strong communication skills and to be able to work within a team based environment, as this is a key objective of the role.

Responsibilities

Key aspects of the role include:

Assisting in performing all aspects of actuarial valuations including preparation of results presentations

Assisting in production of pension disclosure figures for company accounts under FRS17, IAS19, etc

Support to Scheme Actuaries in their role providing regulatory services to trustees of pension schemes.

Support to Actuaries involved in corporate transactions and pension strategy reviews.

The Individual

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: 

A good exam record with a strong commitment to qualification as an actuary in the next 2 - 4 years

1 - 3 years experience in a pensions consultancy environment.

Excellent communication skills 

The ability to work effectively in a team and on their own initiative.
